Changing of the Guard at the Royal Palace

The Royal Guards have been stationed at the Royal Palace since 1523. Military units from all over Sweden take turns to stand guard.

The Changing of the Guard takes place every day of the year. However, the ceremonial march through central Stockholm, accompanied by a full military band, is usually only during the summer months.
