This is the time when students graduate from school and you will hear and see plenty of truckloads of youth circling around the centre of Stockholm, blasting out music! Stay clear of the "beer spray"!

 

6 of June - Swedish National Day 
Gustav Vasa became King of Sweden on June 6, 1523 & on June 6, 1809 Sweden adopted a new constitution.

 

21 of June - Midsummer Eve 
This is when we welcome the summer and dance around the maypole (adorned with leaves and flowers) after which we brave the outdoors eating herring and fresh potatoes, singing and drinking snaps until the wee hours!

 

22 of June - Midsummer Day
